This study involves the provision of expert support during the Istanbul Sustainable Urban Mobility Plan (SUMP): Phase II - Implementation Plan process, which includes providing expert support to ensure that the preparation of the plan and related pilot projects is carried out with the maximum level of stakeholder and citizen participation. The plan aims to create a more sustainable, efficient and inclusive transportation system in Istanbul.

In this context, we contributed to the preparation of the “SUMP - II Stakeholder and Citizen Engagement Process Methodology Report”. The report discusses the objectives, targets, levels of participation, tools and methods, and participation framework in line with the determination of the stakeholder and citizen participation strategy, and includes the design of the participation process specific to the pilot projects and implementation plan. In the ongoing process, stakeholder research for workshops and meetings, determination of workshop and meeting methodologies, management of events, reviewing and commenting on event reports, and ensuring coordination between the parties involved in the execution of the plan process are being carried out.
