Ataşehir Preliminary Assessment Report for Participatory Planning is a study that aims to contribute to the master plan process to be prepared in the study area covering Mevlana, Mimar Sinan and Yeni Çamlıca Neighborhoods of Ataşehir, and has integrity with its annexes. 

Within the scope of the Preliminary Assessment Report for Participatory Planning, which consists of the general view of the area, plans and projects, stakeholders and preliminary impressions, planning perspective and evaluation and recommendations sections, character zones are defined by including historical development processes, social profile, natural structure and risks, spatial characteristics, transportation connections, social facilities. Past plans, ongoing/planned projects, examples of participatory planning are presented, stakeholder groups are identified, demands/complaints and public debates are summarized, and findings from preliminary interviews are included. In the sections on urban agenda, upper scale plans/policy documents, projections for Ataşehir are stated and experiences/best practice examples recommended to be taken into consideration in the planning process are summarized. The problems, potential and needs identified in the planning area, as well as recommendations on planning themes and the participation process are discussed in the evaluation and recommendations section.
